About

Amaze friends, family and total strangers alike with your dominance of history -- past, present and future; the prominent, esoteric and obscure.

So you think you know history? We’ll see about that!

The ‘Closer in Time’ series takes a unique approach to history -- reminding us that our sense of time and progress can often be at odds with the actual facts. Did you know that Mick Jagger’s birth was closer to Abe Lincoln’s assassination than to the release of The Stones latest album? Or that we’re closer in time to Cleopatra than she was to the building of the Giza Pyramid?

By making seemingly odd comparisons, the series provides a new way to look at our place in history. Whether you’re a history buff, a fan of offbeat trivia, or just someone who wants to understand the Simpsons in a new context, these brief but informative episodes are an engaging way to spend your own precious time!

During season, new episodes air the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, 5:00pm PST.
